Frustrated with having several expensive deer feeders knocked down and destroyed by hogs or cattle, I had to do something!!

I decided to build a tripod the hogs couldn’t knock over. While I was at it, why not put a winch on it so I wouldn’t have to do a balancing act on a ladder or the edge of my pick up bed to fill it. This tripod has proved to be well worth the money, the hogs have rooted around it, but have yet to knock it down. I haven’t bought a feeder in years, nor have I fell off the pick-up trying to fill it.

Now you can load a deer or hog without breaking a sweat. I lift mine at the kill site, drive to a remote area to field dress it, then lower it in the bed for transportation. The hoist pivots so one person can easily lower it in the bed of a pickup. It makes that dreaded job a lot easier and cleaner! The noist assembly comes in 2 sections for easy handling and to save room in a loaded pick up bed.
